The deadline for Carlisle United fans to secure their tickets to join the big Blue Army travelling support at Morecambe tomorrow has now passed.

Supporters had until 2pm today to buy tickets after United said the Shrimps had decided no tickets would be available on the day.

The Blues then extended this to 2.30pm to allow fans to buy the handful that were left.

It was originally expected that tickets would be available to buy at the Globe Arena, with United having also been hoping for an additional allocation.

That, though, has not happened, leaving United until this afternoon to sell their remaining terracing tickets.

The Blues said they had sold 1,768 by close of business.

Their bumper following still means they could outnumber the home fans in their first game of 2019.

Last season the Cumbrians took 1,851 to Morecambe and the previous campaign were backed by 1,996.

In both cases those numbers made up more than half the total attendance.

United have never lost an away game against the Shrimps.
