Manager John Sheridan has dismissed fears about Carlisle United’s tough FA Cup second round draw - insisting he is delighted with a trip to League Two leaders Lincoln.
The Blues were this week handed a clash with Danny Cowley’s pacesetters at Sincil Bank for the right to reach the potentially lucrative third round.
Sheridan said: “Everyone thinks the Lincoln game’s a bad game for us. I think it’s a great game for us. I’m well happy with that draw.
“I know how they play. If you go there a bit under, you haven’t got a chance, ‘cos they’ll batter you.
“We have to do what we did last time [a 2-2 draw in October] - it was probably one of our best performances, because we stood up for ourselves.”
The game will be played on the weekend of November 30-December 3.
