Teenage Carlisle United duo Max Brown and Kieron Olsen have joined Penrith on a month's loan.

The pair have linked up with the Northern League Division One strugglers in search of further first-team experience.

Forward Brown, 19, has made one first-team outing for the Blues, as a sub in last month's Checkatrade Trophy defeat at Sunderland, while 18-year-old defender/midfielder Olsen is awaiting his first senior appearance.

They could make their debuts for Andy Coyles' side against West Auckland this weekend.

Both Brown and Olsen had previously been on loan with Workington this season.

Under the terms of the deal with Penrith, the pair will still be eligible to play for United in the Cumberland Cup.

The Blues face Pirelli in the second round of the county competition next Wednesday.

Penrith, meanwhile, are in Cumberland Cup action tonight when they go to Carlisle City (D Marks Stadium, kick-off 7.30pm).
