TOP TV talkshow Kilroy this week welcomed Beaconsfield community leaders who spoke about problems caused by travellers in South Bucks.

Beaconsfield town councillor Paul Henry (Lib Dem, South Ward) and Julian Britton, landlord of the The Charles Dickens pub in Aylesbury End, appeared on the Tuesday's show.

Mr Britton, who is also chairman of Beaconsfield Pub Watch, hit out at travellers who keep on setting up camp on the football pitch in Holtspur.

He said: "I run a football team and we have had so many games called off after travellers have broken their way on to our pitch.

"We have always had a problem around here with that kind of thing. The mess they make when they get on to land is atrocious."

Cllr Henry said: "I did mention the cost to the town council concerning the mess the travellers leave behind."

Also featured was a Romany gipsy who has camped in the area, and Terry Holland, the Gipsy Services Manager at Buckinghamshire County Council.
