WE shared the news that an 18-year-old woman from Carlisle has recently launched a business selling Croc charms in person and online

Caitlin Shepherdson can be seen selling her wares at her 'Croc-a-style' location in Carlisle market hall on Fridays and Saturdays, while she also sells in Silloth.

She started the business a few months ago after a £200 loan from her dad Andy and it has proven to be incredibly popular, so much so that she was able to quit her previous job at the chippy.

Here's how readers reacted.

Sarah Henry said: "Was at the indoor market a couple of weeks ago. I was so shocked at how empty it looked. I used to love the market, full of life and vibrant. Was only really food stalls. Never got what I was looking for which was a disappointment. Ended up at Penrith. Good luck to the young one."

Marco Berti said: "Support small businesses in the market. They need it. I will be back with Marco Berti Photography soon."

Lorraine Anderson Cole added: "Try and get a stall at Keswick Market or one of the independent stores to stock them if you can. Good luck."

Sandie Louise Shepherdson commented: "Cheapest in the area, shops charge up to £5 for one sometimes."

Croc charms offer a fun way to customise, and add a personal touch, to your footwear, and can be bought from Caitlin's business for between £1 and £3.
