WE shared the news that a popular business based in Carlisle celebrated its fifth anniversary over the weekend. 

Jill Glencross-Hind became the owner of her eponymously named funeral director business, Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Director, on October 8, 2018. 

Jill won last year's Cumbria Woman of the Year award for her incredible dedication, kindness and hard work before, during and after the pandemic.

Leanne Swailes-Gate said: "Congratulations Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Director very well deserved you and your team are simply the best.

"I’ll never ever forget what you and your fantastic team did for me and supported me when I lost my beautiful husband five weeks ago and how much you were there for me before and after the funeral," she added.
