WE shared the news that The Coach and Horses pub at Kingstown in Carlisle will reopen its doors again in November after a major £300,000 upgrade.
Here's how readers reacted.
Graham Moss said: "Heartened to read this and the best of luck to them. I wasn’t inspired by the beer brands mentioned in the article, which are the same on offer at plenty of other pubs, but if there are decent cask/craft beer choices to make a point of difference, you’ll have a customer. I’ll definitely call in with my fingers firmly crossed."
Alan Rickerby, Sara Burgess and Ben Henderson wished the business good luck.
John Brian Mckay said: "Brilliant news I’ve really missed the Coach can’t wait."
Roger Waugh said: "Great location. Handy for motorway and industrial estate. Should be great. Good luck."
Jill Lambert also added: "That's brilliant news Sue, I know you and your family will make it the perfect place again. Good luck."
Christine Maleney commented: "Oh great good luck looking forward to popping in."
A web user said: "Good luck with this, however getting it right with a pub appears to be a difficult job these days. Prices have gone through the roof, which in turn has changed the dynamics of what a pub actually is."
Another web user said: "The days of the regulars coming in for a few drinks every night on the way home from work have long gone."
Another said: "Good luck, looking forward to trying the home-cooked food."
