Two West Cumbrian inns and a microbrewery have been put on the market for £2 million.

The Strands Hotel, Screes Inn and brewery in Nether Wasdale, are being put up for sale by owners Mark and Lesley Corr.

The sale is being handled by Christie & Co.

The Strands Hotel is an 18th century inn.

Originally built as a hotel and post house around 1800, the Strands, as it is affectionately known, is the centre of local life in the hamlet.

It won the Campaign for Real Ale's Pub of the Year for Western Cumbria accolade in 2016 and has won travel website Tripadvisor certificates of excellence from 2011 to 2016.

Mr and Mrs Corr said they fell in love with the inn during their first visit to Nether Wasdale.

The Strands Hotel has 14 individually designed en suite bedrooms, a lounge a bar, and a restaurant.

The owners accommodation comprises of three bedrooms.

Last year, the couple bought the Screes Inn pub, which has eight en suite rooms.

In February 2007, Mr Corr set up the microbrewery.

The first beer that was delivered was a light amber bitter and it now brews more than 30 styles.
