RAIL services have been cancelled or delayed after signalling cables were stolen from train lines near Lancaster.
Trains between Lancaster and Barrow will be delayed by at least 10 minutes throughout the morning while services between Lancaster and Morecambe have been cancelled.
A replacement bus service has been put on to transport passengers from Lancaster to Morecambe.
Disruption is likely to continue until 12 noon today (Monday) and services on the West Coast Main Line are also affected with delays of up to 20 minutes.
Elsewhere there is disruption between Salford Crescent and Salford Central because of an object on the tracks. Delays of 20 minutes are being reported.
