Excited music fans converged on Carlisle to see a superstar in action.
They packed out Brunton Park to see the legendary Lionel Richie in concert.
The gig was Cumbria's most eagerly anticipated over the year so far, attracting a thousands-strong crowd to the home of Carlisle United.
They enjoyed a warm-up act from former Westlife singer Shane Filan.
And they weren't been put off by some showers, with many partying on the pitch with plastic jackets on.
Lynn and Tony Bisset, 53 and 55 of South Shields, were among those who have handed a visitor boost to the city by turning out for the show.
Lynn said: "I have loved him for years. He is just an all-round entertainer and we know we will get a good show."
Tony added: "I'm over the moon, I like all the Motown songs."
