Promising Cumbrian cricketer Stanley McAlindon has been handed a new deal at Durham.
The 20-year-old from Carlisle has signed a rookie deal for the 2025 season, extending his stay at the north east county.
McAlindon is one of three young players to be awarded new terms at the Riverside, along with Mitchell Killeen and Luke Robinson.
The former Carlisle Cricket Club player made his First Class debut for Durham in 2022 aged 18, and also featured in the One Day Cup.
He has taken 15 wickets in 13 senior appearances, though injury limited him to one first-team fixture this summer, against Lancashire in the One Day Cup in July.
🔐 in for another year.

The Cumbrian has featured for Durham’s Second XI and also played club cricket this year with Tynemouth.
The former England Under-19 squad member believes he can make further progress at Durham.
Speaking on the county’s website, the former Trinity School boy, who has also represented the north of England, said: “I’m really happy to have signed another contract extension with Durham into next season.
“This club feels like a home to me and I can’t wait to see what the future is like for me at Durham.
“We are making huge progress as a club and hopefully I can play my part in some further success, down the line.”
Durham’s director of cricket Marcus North said of McAlindon, Robinson and Killeen's new deals: “We are very pleased to announce that three of our current rookie players have extended their rookie contracts with us.
“We look forward to supporting their development further during the next 12 months.”
