FIREFIGHTERS from Penrith Fire Station are set to raise funds for charity with a community car wash.
The crew from Penrith Fire Station will be washing cars at Ullswater Community College on Saturday, October 13 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
This will be the latest charity car wash event in 2024 after other Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service crews raised thousands of pounds earlier in the year for the charity which 'helps all serving and retired members of the UK's fire families live healthier and happier.'
Writing on social media ahead of the event, they said: "Don't miss the chance to have your car cleaned by our Penrith Fire Station crew this Saturday - and all for a good cause.
"The crew will be cleaning cars at Ullswater Community College from 10am to 3pm, with proceeds going to the Fire Fighters Charity.
"We ask motorists to enter via Southend Road as there will be a one-way system in place."
