Carlisle Youth Zone has been selected as one of three charities for the Kitchen Rivals fundraising event.
The event, hosted by Lake District Hotels, will take place on November 21 at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa.
The competition features three businesses, Armstrong Watson, Knights, and Lake District Hotels, in a friendly culinary contest to raise funds for causes in the area.
Teams from Armstrong Watson and Knights will cook and serve a three-course meal for 90 VIP guests.
These companies, along with Lake District Hotels, will each host 30 guests.
The winning team will be determined by the amount of money raised through donations.
All funds will be equally distributed to three chosen charities, Carlisle Youth Zone, Cumbria Community Fund, and Keswick Youth Centre Services.
The two competing teams, the Red Team and the Green Team, will be distinguished by their brightly coloured aprons and hats.
The challenge is to impress their guests not only with the quality of their meals but also to generate donations.
At the end of the evening, guests will place cash donations in envelopes designated by team colour.
The team whose guests contribute the most will be crowned the winners of Kitchen Rivals 2024.
The event will also feature a raffle and a charity auction, with all proceeds being divided equally between the three charities.
Emma Rogerson, development manager at Carlisle Youth Zone, said: "We’re incredibly grateful that Carlisle Youth Zone has been chosen a charity partner for this fantastic event.
"The funds raised will help us to continue delivering quality youth work, opportunities and support to young people across Carlisle.
"We wish both teams the best of luck in the kitchen."
The Kitchen Rivals event promises to be an exciting evening filled with friendly competition, gourmet dining, and, most importantly, community support for some of Cumbria’s most vital charities.
