A banned driver had his uninsured car seized by police on patrol in west Cumbria.
PC 2742 from the Cumbria Constabulary Nuclear Estates Team (CCNET) was patrolling around Calderbridge and spotted a red Ford Focus driving without any insurance.
“Further checks showed that the driver had already got seven points, for no insurance, and was previously banned for the same offence.

“His vehicle was seized under Section 165 Road Traffic Act and the driver was reported for no insurance, with him already having points it was a trip straight to court for this 58-year-old male from Millom,” a police spokesperson said.
