A skate jam in Carlisle is set to raise money for Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice.
The free-to-enter event will take place at Carlisle Skatepark on Mayors Drive on Saturday, December 14, and will see skate enthusiasts perform their best tricks to raise money for the Children's Hospice which provides day-to-day care, support, and activities for children and young people from across the county living with a life-limiting illness.
The event will follow a similar skate jam earlier in 2024 which raised £250 for charity and will feature best trick competitions, a full park jam, and a raffle.
Sam Armstrong is the one of the organisers of the upcoming charity skate jam and explained more about the event and thanked the jam's sponsors for their support.
He said: "My friends and me, who are also local skateboarders, decided around three or four months ago to have a charity 'game of skate' and a raffle.
"We were able to raise close to £250 pounds that I donated on my Instagram story the next day.
"This time we want to keep it fresh and have a jam consisting of three best trick competitions on different obstacles around the park, one full park jam, and another raffle as the last one was really popular.
"We have some great sponsors who’ve donated lots of great prizes including complete skateboards, helmets, and more from Skatepro and the Heart Supply and some great merchandise from the likes of Treatment, Icarus Skate Wax, South West Skate Co., Topia Wheel Co., and The Hardware Company."
