CARLISLE'S Palestine advocacy group will be welcoming the public to join them this Friday as a university professor will share his first-hand experiences from the West Bank.
The event, taking place at the Church of Scotland, will see Professor Marwan Darweish from Coventry University present two short films.
These films highlight the impact of illegal settler communities on Palestinian life in the Masafer Yatta area of the South Hebron Hills.
The event will also feature Palestinian and Middle Eastern food and drinks.
The event will take place on Friday, October 6, at 6pm.
The Palestine Solidarity Group Carlisle and District has also announced that there will be no vigil this weekend on Saturday, October 7.
However, they plan to return to the city centre by Barclays on Saturday, October 14, from 1pm marking a year of conflict in the region and to call for peace.
