Firefighters were deployed to reports of a bullock stuck in a sinkhole.
Carlisle East Fire Station said they were called at 10am and went immediately to the location near Nenthead, alongside firefighters from Lazonby
The young bullock, called Cinnamon, was found at the bottom of a sinkhole, 'well and truly stuck'.
A spokesperson from Carlisle East Fire Station said: "Crews worked alongside the farmer, and heavy plant operators, to dig around the animal, and use our specialist animal rescue equipment to pull Cinnamon to safety- thankfully injury-free."
