A man has been banned from entering shops in West Cumbria and Carlisle for two years by Police.
The Allerdale Neighbourhood Police Team secured a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) against John Pickering, 53 from Maryport on Friday, September 27.
The following conditions have been imposed on him no to:
- Enter any property or premises that are members of the Workington Schemelink scheme or display the Schemelink logo at any time.
- Enter any property or premises that are members of the Maryport Schemelink scheme or display the Schemelink logo at any time.
- Enter any property or premises that are members of the Carlisle Shopwatch Scheme or display the Shopwatch logo at any time.
- Enter Home Bargains on Derwent Drive, Workington.
A spokesperson for Allerdale Police said: "The Criminal Behaviour Order is a great outcome and is a useful tool to place restrictions on Pickering to prevent further criminality and help protect business owners.
"We would encourage anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken to contact the police immediately.
"The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison."
