CUMBRIA Police have patrolled parts of Carlisle to prevent antisocial behaviour and serious violence.
Several patrols have taken place on Botchergate in the city centre.
This is part of Operation Enhance which aims to tackle this type of activity.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "We have extra patrols focusing on serious violence and antisocial behaviour – including in Botchergate.
"So far the patrols across the 18 designated hotspot areas have resulted in 487 hours of extra patrols and 22 arrests.
"The operation has been made possible thanks to £1 million of extra funding secured by Cumbria’s police, fire and crime commissioner from the Government’s Hotspot Response Fund to target anti-social behaviour (ASB) and serious violence in hotspot areas across the county."
