An Afro-Caribbean-themed night of music, dance and food will take place next month.
The ‘Afro-Caribbean Party’ will take place on October 4 at The Brickyard in Carlisle.
A spokesperson from the venue said: “This will be an experience of something new and exciting in Carlisle – an evening which unites our cultures through music, dance, food and good vibes, a total celebration you will not want to miss.”
They said it will appeal for fans of the afrobeat, dancehall, amapiano, bongo, soca, arbantone and gengetone music genres.
On top of the music, Afro-Caribbean dishes will be served up buffet-style, including but not limited to jollof rice, poulet DG, chicken yassa, jerk chicken, egusi soup, fufu, ugali/sadza, as well as fries, roast potatoes, and assorted salads and vegetables.
“We just levelled up and this bashment will leave you wanting more,” the spokesperson said.
