WHITEHAVEN Coastguard Rescue Team have found the owner of unattended belongings following an 'urgent' appeal
The rescue team issued the appeal after receiving a 999 call today (Sunday, September 22) after a number of items, including a towel, coat, and glasses, were found by a member of the public in St. Bess.
The team are conducted a search of the area of Seamill Lane to locate the owner of the belongings, however have now confirmed that the owner was located.
Writing on social media, they said: "Hasty searches of the immediate area were undertaken after speaking with the first informant, whilst a social media appeal was issued.
"Thankfully the appeal identified the owner of the lost items and the team was stood down."
