THE annual flower show was held in Longtown earlier this month.
The show is a popular tradition that welcomes hundreds of entries each year.
It was held at Longtown Memorial Hall on September 7.
Jean Harrison, secretary of the Longtown Flower Show, said: "The committee started very early in the morning to let exhibitors place out their entries.
"At 10.30am we allow the judges to view the displays. We had the same number of entries as last year which was round about 800.
"The show always proves to be popular and has been going on for a long time. We're trying to keep it going as a thriving community event and hopefully get some more of the young people involved in this type of thing.
"We hold the event every year, and in 2025 we will be holding the show on September 6.
"It's always the first Saturday in September. There was a lot of interest when we opened the doors to the public. We had raffle prizes, and everyone seemed to have enjoyed the day.
"There were some outstanding entries including knitting, painting, the children's section and vegetable section were both also nice, however, the vegetables weren't as impressive as last year due to the poor weather conditions."
