CRIMINAL Behaviour Orders have been imposed on numerous shoplifters.
Several offenders were caught in the Workington area over the summer.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "Over the summer police have dealt with numerous shoplifting offences in the area of Workington town centre involving some well-known prolific offenders.
"Many of these offences also resulted in breaches of Criminal Behaviour Orders imposed on them by the courts.
"Some of the latest results obtained are as follows.
"On September 6, a female pleaded guilty at court to four shoplifting offences and 4 breaches of her Criminal Behaviour Order.
"This female has been remanded in custody until October 4 when she will appear before Carlisle Crown Court.
"On September 3, a male pleaded guilty at court to an offence of shoplifting and a breach of his Criminal Behaviour Order. The male received a four-month prison sentence.
"On September 3, a male pleaded guilty at court to two shoplifting offences. The male was given a Community Order and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement."
"On August 20, a male pleaded guilty in court to an offence of shoplifting. The male received a one-month prison sentence."
