A TRIAL date has been set for a 56-year-old Carlisle woman who denies assaulting another woman.
Julie Vevers, of Dalton Avenue, Raffles, pleaded not guilty to the offence, which prosecutors say happened in Carlisle on August 24. Her trial, which is estimated to last three hours, will be at the city’s Rickergate court on October 28.
She was granted bail on condition that she has no contact the alleged victim. The defendant was represented by defence lawyer Anthony Wilson.
