THE Annual Flower and Veg Show will be returning to Whitehaven this week.
The second annual event will be held in St Nicholas' Gardens in the town centre.
Each year the show is organised by Whitehaven Town Council.
A Whitehaven Town Council spokesperson said: "These things are lovely, wherever you go in the country people have allotments and gardens where they are proud of their flowers and vegetables.
"They give people a chance to show off their produce, and goods like jams and cakes.
"It's part of our continued drive to give people more reason to visit the town centre of Whitehaven.
"We're also introducing street theatre this year, these will include comedic gardeners from the Fairly Famous Family.
"Haverigg Enterprises will also be there selling smoked meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables."
People can enter by emailing clerk@whitehaventowncouncil.co.uk or just coming along on the day.
