WE shared the news that Carlisle’s much-loved chocolate shop celebrated its grand reopening over the weekend as it opened the doors to the public from its new home.

Founded by Keith Tattersall in 2019, Castle Chocolates has moved into larger premises on Fisher Street, previously occupied by First We Eat deli.

The relocation, just three doors down from its original unit, brings more space to accommodate the shop’s expanding operations.

Here's what readers thought.

Elaine Lainey Graham said: "Best chocolate ever and we are loving the new flavours. Well done Keith the new shop is amazing and the expansion is well deserved. You and the team work extremely hard and I cant wait for your Christmas range to start."

Carole Caulfield said: "Can’t wait to visit again," and Alison Blair added: "I was away so couldn't make it but wish you all the best in your new shop."

One web user commented: "I tell you what - this is amazing. I love their chocolate and I love to see a local business doing so well. I wish you all the very best in your new store and hopefully future expansions will come too. Don’t sell out all of the salted caramel bars before I get the chance to get in."
