A Church is set to mark two years since the accession of King Charles III's accession with a 'service of thanksgiving'.
Sunday, September 8 marks two years since the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of King Charles III.
To mark the anniversary, Eden Churches, which is comprised of Wetheral Parish Church and St Paul's Holme Eden, will be hosting a 'service of thanksgiving in Wetheral.
At the event, the choir will sing 'I was Glad' by Hubert Parry and the Mass in G by Francis Jackson as well a selection of other hymns.
However, the service will be started by the installation of the church's new official photograph of King Charles III in the vestry.
Ahead of the event, locals have been encouraged to attend this 'special occasion'
Writing on social media, Eden Churches said: "This Sunday marks two years since King Charles III’s accession to the throne.
"At Wetheral Church we’ll be marking the occasion with a service of thanksgiving on Sunday at 11.15am.
"Why not come along and bring a friend. Those of all faiths and none are welcome to join us for this special occasion."
