THE Beacon will be hosting a SEN Friendly Pet Encounter event.
The Whitehaven museum will host the event on Monday, September 2.
On their website, The Beacon said: "We'll be hosting an SEN (Special Educational Needs) friendly Pet Encounter. This session will be a smaller group than our usual Pet Encounters to allow attendees to enjoy a calmer atmosphere while learning about the animals.
"Welcome the incredible Pet Encounters team who will teach you about their beautiful animals, their habitat, where they originate from, and how to care for and look after them. You’ll also get a chance to hold and interact with many of the animals.
"All attendees must have a Pet Encounters ticket. Museum admission is not included in the ticket price and is not required if you just want to see the pets. If you would like to visit the museum before/after Pet Encounters you will need to buy admission or show an annual pass."
