PENRITH Fire Station is set to host an open day in aid of The Firefighters Charity.
The station will host its open day on Saturday, August 31 in a bid to raise funds for the national charity which aims to 'help all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family to live healthier and happier.'
The event is set to showcase the station's appliances as well as host a charity raffle.
Writing on their Just Giving page ahead of the event, Penrith Fire Station said: "We're opening our doors and have invited our blue light colleagues to join us for our annual open day supporting The Firefighters Charity.
"We'll have so much to see and do on the day including a range of the appliances used, demos of some of the skills we use, and much more.
"There'll be a raffle with some fantastic prizes and lots of games as well as ice cream, cakes, and refreshments.
"We'd love to see as many of you as possible on the day and help us raise some money for this fantastic charity."
