A rock band celebrating over 50 years of music making will visit Cumbria later this year.
Wishbone Ash, formed in 1969, is renowned for pioneering the twin-lead guitar sound that influenced countless rock and metal bands.
Founded by bassist Martin Turner and drummer Steve Upton, the band initially featured guitarists Andy Powell and Ted Turner, whose harmonized dual-guitar melodies became the band's signature.
Their 1972 album, Argus, is considered a classic, blending progressive rock, folk, and hard rock, and has been hailed as one of the greatest albums of the era.
Throughout their career, Wishbone Ash explored various musical styles, including blues, jazz, and electronic elements, but they remained best known for their innovative guitar work.
The band's influence is evident in the music of groups like Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden.
Following the outstanding response to their recent “Live Dates Live” tour - in which the band celebrated 50 years of their seminal multi-million selling live album - Wishbone Ash will return with a show featuring songs from its follow-up… Live Dates 2.
