Industrial action has ended at the Fellside Combined Heat and Power plant, which provides electricity and steam to Sellafield, after workers accepted a new pay offer.
Nearly 40 workers, employed by PX Limited, voted to accept pay rises of between six and 7.5 per cent from May 2024.
The deal was secured by Unite after the workers took 15 days of industrial action short of strikes starting August 1.
Previously, the workers, who undertake a variety of roles including shift managers, operators, electrical and instrumentation technicians and administrators, were offered pay rises of between three and 4.5 per cent.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: "PX Limited’s Fellside workers stood their ground and took industrial action to secure better pay.
"This deal is one more example of Unite’s relentless focus on improving jobs, pay and conditions delivering dividends for our members."
Unite regional officer Ryan Armstrong said: “This excellent result could not have been achieved without the hard work of our workplace reps.
"Unite will now be focusing on signing a recognition agreement with the company.”
Katie Woods-Ruddick, chief people officer with px, said: “A positive and amicable approach to the pay negotiations by both sides has delivered an outcome that suits both employer and employees. Our people are what makes px a success and our aim is always to work together for positive outcomes.”
