Cumberland Council have completed works on Edgehill Road in Carlisle.
The road has been resurfaced with the kerb lines also renewed. The works have also improved the footways according to the council and fresh road markings have been installed.
In a social media statement, Cumberland Council said that they were ‘committed’ to making road across the region ‘safer and smoother’.
A spokesperson said: “We've teamed up with our Surfacing Framework Contractor, DSD Construction Ltd, to bring some much-needed improvements to Edgehill Road in Carlisle.
"With an investment of approximately £35,000, we've enhanced the quality of the road, removed any defects, and increased its lifespan.
“We’re committed to making our roads safer and smoother for everyone.
“Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to improve your road network.”
Cumberland Council announced a three year deal worth more than £50 million with DSD Construction Ltd to help fix roads across the Cumberland Council area.
