City residents and visitors are invited to find their zen at an event in Carlisle.
Uma Kadampa Meditation Centre is hosting a free meditation event in Bitts Park on August 18 that is open to anyone to attend.
Gen Kelsang Lhachog, resident teacher at the centre, will lead people in a short guided meditation.
Uma Kadampa Meditation Centre is a meditation and modern Buddhist space based on Spencer Street in the city centre.
They are followers of the Mahayana school of Kadampa Buddhism and often hold free sessions for people to drop into.
People attending the meditation event in the park are encouraged to bring a blanket or a folding chair to sit on.
It will take place between 2-2.30pm and is weather dependent.
