A popular Carlisle farm park is set to host a 'Meet the Dinosaur' event and open its Wild West-themed Maize Maze as its summer holidays schedule continues.
Walby Farm Park is hosting a number of events during the school holidays, with the prehistoric meet and greet and return of its signature Maize Maze after five years away taking centre stage on its programme.
The Maize Maze is the size of 'several football pitches' and has been able to grow thanks to the recent spell of warm and dry weather, with it set to be open until the third week of September.
In addition, the farm park will also be hosting other events such as den building, pond dipping, and foot golf, with new activities being added each week.
Katie Milbourn, owner of Walby Farm Park encouraged locals to get involved with the fun at the farm park.
She said: "The Summertime Pass was a big hit last year and gave families excellent value for money whether it’s wet or dry outside.
"No week is ever the same at Walby, so there’s always the chance for people to experience something new; whether it’s meeting brand new arrivals like our baby reindeer calf or baby Shetland foal or enjoying one of the special summer events.
"We’ve extended the dates of when the Summertime Pass can be used this year to make sure we factor in our visitors from North of the border.
"We’re perfectly placed to break the journey between north and south for those families choosing to holiday in the UK."
Other activities which will be taking place at Walby Farm Park over the summer holidays include a daily, weather-dependent, foam party and the popular local attraction is also gearing up for Halloween.
This comes as the farm park is currently growing pumpkins for its spooky picking event which will take place throughout October, and more Halloween events are set to be announced following the conclusion of their summer schedule.
