A CUMBRIAN railway attraction will feature on a Channel 5 TV show tonight, as the programme sheds a light on the Lake District.
The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway will feature on Channel Five show The Big Steam Adventure, which has returned to the channel for a second series.
A preview for the show said: "John Sergeant, Peter Davison and Paul Middleton explore via a narrow-gauge steam train, a gigantic traction engine, a 1906 steam launch, and a bone-shatteringly uncomfortable miniature Foden steam van.
"John, Peter and Piglet experience their most uncomfortable ride yet."
The railway, affectionately known as 'the Lal Ratty' is becoming popular with film and tv crews, previously playing host to Michael Portillo who filmed an episode of his Great British Railway Journeys at the attraction.
In a statement on social media, The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway said: "Don't forget to tune in to the first episode of 'The Big Steam Adventure' tonight at 8pm, featuring ourselves."
The show will air on Channel 5 this evening, May 3 at 8pm.
