As our nation has just witnessed the Coronation of King Charles III, we asked our readers if they enjoyed the Coronation service.

Saturday, May 6, will live on in so many of our memories as we witnessed our country coming together once again to crown a new King.

This was the first time in over 70 years that we saw a new Monarch being crowned after the late Queen Elizabeth tragically passed away last year ending her seven-decade-long reign on the throne.

People across Cumbria and the rest of the country came together to celebrate the momentous occasion.

Street parties, dinners, gatherings, and other events were held by people as history was made.

Here at the News & Star, we wanted to see what our readers had been doing to celebrate the King's Coronation.

As always we got a fantastic response from our readership and we have compiled together some of the best answers we get.

If you yourself celebrated the occasion, why not let us know, we'd love to hear what you got up to on the big day.

Kenneth Burt said: "Yes. Wow! Beautiful traditional monarch Coronation hasn’t been seen in the last 70 years ago."
