Adventure Cinema is returning to Carlisle Racecourse this year to screen blockbusters in a unique setting.

Formed in 2019 by a pair of brothers, Adventure Cinema is the UK’s biggest outdoor cinema provider touring over 70 towns in 2023 and they promise an ‘unforgettable night under the stars.’

Adventure Cinema will transport new award-winning Top Gun: Maverick to a ‘magical setting.’

News and Star: This represents the first chance to catch the latest film starring Tom Cruise in the great outdoors, and the Top Gun: Maverick screenings are made for those with a thirst for action-packed drama with a good slice of 80s nostalgia.

The cinema is coming to Carlisle Racecoure from Friday, September 22 until Sunday, September 24 with a range of different films scheduled to be shown.

Opening the show on the evening of Friday, September 22 is the new Elvis Presley biopic starring Austin Butler as the eponymous star and Tom Hanks as Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Saturday, September 23 sees a sing-along version of the blockbuster musical ‘The Greatest Showman’ starring Hugh Jackman before the evening showing of the classic 1990 romantic comedy, ‘Pretty Woman’ starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

News and Star: On the final day of the cinema being at the racecourse is a family friendly showing of the recent Disney film, ‘Encanto’ at 2pm before finishing off with Top Gun: Maverick at 8pm.

Ben Lovell, Co-Director, Adventure Cinema, said: “This season’s selection of film features something for everyone, from award-winning new releases to old school classics and films for the whole family - and is perfect for those who love the cinema and the great outdoors.

“We can’t wait to bring everyone together once again for some unforgettable cinema experiences.”
