Matt Hancock has made it into the I'm A Celeb final after last night's result.

The former Health Secretary was seen competing in the famous Celebrity Cyclone challenge in tonight's episode before viewers voted out Mike Tindall.

Earlier in the show, the ex-England rugby player suggested Matt Hancock was specifically positioning the gilet marked with his name and the phone number needed to vote for him in front of the cameras in camp.

After sabotaging Hancock’s efforts he said: “Once a politician, always a politician. Always polling for votes.”

After last nights result, Matt Hancock, Jill Scott and Owen Warner are the 2022 finalists for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

We asked Cumbrian's what they think about the politician making the final four of the show and the opinions were mixed.

James Haycraft said: "The British public are remarkably stupid and clearly suffer short term memory loss."

Eileen Wain agreed, she commented: "Can’t understand anyone voting for him should be ashamed if you do."

Jane Campbell said: "Who the hell is voting to keep Mat in?!? Jill to win."

Shelley Harrison commented: "Disappointed in the nation , the sooner he’s off my screen the better…"

Kevin Finnerty said: "Matt Hancock is favourite to win that reality programme.

"If you ever wondered how we ended up in this mess as a country for 12 years, that's your answer."

However, there was some support for the politician to go on and bag the top prize in tonights final.

Hannah Greig said: "Matt to win."

Alan Hedworth agreed, he commented: "Go on Matt, silence the haters."

Fiona Moscrop also said she wanted the former Health secretary to win, she commented: "I’ve voted for Matt to win."
