A McDonald’s restaurant in west Cumbria remains closed today due to an issue with the ventilation system.
The fast food chain in Whitehaven was shut last night and entry had been blocked off to the restaurant’s drive-thru.
A member of staff said the restaurant was still closed this morning and staff were waiting to hear back from an engineer.
A spokesperson for McDonald's said: “Due to an issue with the ventilation system, our Whitehaven restaurant was forced to temporarily close last night. We are working quickly to resolve the issue and we hope to re-open as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.”
