A RENOWNED ice-cream and coffee shop played host to three primetime TV stars this weekend.
Staff and customers alike at Hartley's Beach Shop and Tearooms, which is famous for its ice-creams and panoramic view over St Bees beach, were stunned when three famous faces from ITV's soap drama Emmerdale stopped in for a cone and coffee on a Sunday Afternoon (September 25).
Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle), Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) and Zoe Henry (Rhona Goskirk), all stopped in to for a cuppa - while it appears they were holidaying in the area.
Joe Sewell, who's worked in the cafe for a year, said: "They just came in and asked for coffee's and teas, I recognised them immediately.
"Everyone went absolutely mental when they came in. Even the customers were all going 'oh my god'," he said.
Joe said it's the first famous face he's seen in the cafe, but hopefully there's more to come.
