AFTER successfully delivering an ambulance full of aid to Ukraine, a garden centre looks to continue it's giving efforts.

The Pot Place, Plumpton, had been fundraising for four months to raise £9,500 to send an NHS fleet vehicle to a rehabilitation centre in Lviv in August.

However, the giving spirit doesn't stop there as they kick into gear and launch a new fundraising effort to send another ambulance alongside a fast response motorbike.

The garden centre are aiming to raise £12,500 to buy both vehicles - having raised £750 so far.

Co-owner's Paul Thomas and Kevin Roper wanted to do what they could to help immediately as the invasion began.

"Well because our last trip to donate our first ambulance was so well received by our Ukrainian contacts we have decided we need to keep up this kind of direct support for their emergency services. We know now that we can get these vehicles right to the front line," Paul said.

"These bikes can not only be used to attend emergency incidents very quickly but they can also move blood and other medicines around and into areas that are difficult to access," he said.

The business pays all the costs of getting the equipment to Ukraine, they just need help to raise the money to buy them in the first place.
