THE COUNCIL is making the public aware that its customer service helpline will not be available from this afternoon and throughout the weekend, due to a necessary technical upgrade.
An essential upgrade to Carlisle City Council’s telephone system will mean disruption to customer services until Monday.
In a post to social media, a spokesperson for the council said: “Due to an essential telephony upgrade, our customer services team, including the Civic Centre’s Customer Contact Centre, will not be available from 12pm today (Friday). We will reopen at 9am on Monday August 8.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
The public can still access Carlisle City Council’s services at: www.carlisle.gov.uk
