Golfing women are invited to beginners training sessions that kick off this month.

Golf coach Simon Kerr is running sessions aimed at women who are beginner golfers to get into the swing of things on the course.

Golfers are invited to learn how to play golf in a fun and friendly environment.

Sessions last one hour and are for groups of women, and there is also the option to play the first four holes of Brampton Golf Course, where the sessions are taking place.

The sessions are open to non-members, and it is not necessary to bring any equipment, as all will be provided – similarly, there is no prior experience necessary either.

The one-hour group sessions form part of six-week sessions.

People can choose to do them every week on a Sunday or on a Tuesday, with the Sunday sessions starting on August 7, at 4:00pm, and the Tuesday sessions starting on August 9 at 6:00pm.

Participants can enjoy on-course coaching with PGA professionals, as well as range and short game area coaching.

The course costs £50, which includes range tokens and use of practice facilities for the duration of the course.

Participants can pay an extra £40 to play the first four holes of the course.
