AN £80 fine has been handed to a 32-year-old Carlisle man who has admitted stealing clothing from the city’s House of Fraser store.
Ben Wiggins, of Montreal Street, committed the offence on July 28. The value of the clothing he stole was £161, the court heard. Magistrates ruled that he must reimburse the store fully and also pay prosecution costs of £85.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account.
