ENGLAND is gearing up for what will be a monumental occasion in football this weekend.
The Lionesses are set to face eight-time European champions Germany in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley on Sunday (July, 31) at 5pm.
When it comes to watching such a pivotal game, the second best atmosphere - outwith being at the game itself - usually finds itself nestled in a pub alongside your fellow footballing patriots.
To save you running about right before the whistle trying to find a pew, we've created a list of five great bars in Carlisle bound to be full of atmosphere as the city gets ready for football possibly 'coming home'...
Where can you watch the game?
Carlisle football fan favourite pub, The Beehive, situated on Warwick Rd.
Screens galore and beer at a reasonable price in Carlisle's The Caledonian, situated on Botchergate.
Being able to see the screen here is never usually an issue, due to their use of a well-appreciated projector - situated on Botchergate.
The Crown Inn, on Scotland Road, is a great spot for football, perfectly complimented with a Sunday roast menu also on offer; it could just make your winning combination.
Located in Lowther Street, there's plenty of screens and great selection of beers and ales... along with a few locals ones in there as well.
