THIS week, one infant school in Carlisle transformed into a sunny seaside resort, they fetched the fun of Blackpool to their playground.

On Wednesday July 13, the children as Kingmoor Nursery & Infant School spent the day at the beach taking part in a range of fun activities. This included a splash zone and a beach which the staff created using copious amounts of sand.

The school were delighted to have a visit from the Fire Service, Ice Cream van and several funfair rides. Other activities included shell art, bouncy hoppers and bouncy castles.

The infant school posted on their social media about the day:

"We have had the best day ever!"

"We had ice cream, a sandy beach, splash zones, a mini bouncy castle, a HUGE bouncy castle, fair ground rides, shell art, throw the wet sponges, sun bathing zone, beach volleyball, fire engine and much more more. The children were amazing!"

The day was all in aid of raising money for charity in which £150 was raised for CFM to support local community issues.
