A WHITEHAVEN pub annouces new scheme to help those struggling in the cost-of-living crisis to still enjoy a meal out this summer.

The Sunny Hill pub in Whitehaven has introduced a 'kids eat free' scheme to allow families to eat out during the summer holidays, and not break the bank as costs soar for other household ammenties. The pub have reinforced online they like to 'help out where we can'.

The criteria for the new introduction allows children 12 and under to eat free when an adult order from the main menu. Kids can tuck into nuggets, sausages, sandwiches and plenty more all completely free when an adult orders as well.

The scheme is running throughout the summer, from Monday to Friday in the afternoon.

The softplay at the pub is also open all day, everyday to keep the little ones preoccupied. The price for this is only £1.95, whilst under twos go free.

The annoucement from the pub was met with praise from people on social media with one user saying: 'This is brilliant, well done' and another 'this is great the food is so nice as well'.
