'Emotions can be hard to navigate, so why not add some direction with a car indicator?' - In the case of Cumbrian band, Flynt and their new single, that’s exactly what they’ve done!
The new song is described as a tender and poppy ballad which mixes heart-felt subject matters with an upbeat and quirky sound for the band Flynt. The song is an exploration of tragedy hidden between upbeat retro-alt pop energy, laden with synths and vocals harmonies.
The song has sounds are inspired by international popstar, Charlie Puth.
Do I follows Flynt’s previous successes. The Cumbrian indie-pop band played sessions for BBC Music Introducing in Cumbria at Maida Vale Studios and have featured on BBC Radio 1.
The group’s success comes as a true underdog story. Vocalist Brad Kavanagh was dropped as a solo artist from Warner several years ago and found himself creatively adrift. After pairing with primary school teacher Emma as co-vocalist, and the rest if the band, Flynt set their sights of success without the backing of a label.
The band have described the background of the new song, and their sound, saying:
“We basically are obsessed with heartbreak. We love wondering why and how things end up in such a bad way. We get a kick out of writing songs that sound energetic and happy… but really, really aren’t.”
The song, Do I (feat. Brad’s Car Indicator) is available worldwide to blast through aux cords.
