1. The Drifters, The Sands Centre, July 16
Get under the boardwalk this Saturday night as you can catch the longest running singing group in pop history who are still performing live, The Drifters. 

2. Dragonflies, Damselflies and Bumblebees, Watchtree Nature Reserve, July 16
Take a walk round Watchtree Nature Reserve and visit the habitats of the Odonata (Dragonfly), learn about their life cycle and how to identity types of Dragonfly and Damselfly, with the opportunity to see them in flight. 

3. Hadrian 1900 Festival Talk, Stanwix Community Centre, July 15
Looking at ‘The History of Carlisle’s Bathing’ from Roman Carlisle, through the Victorian era and public baths, right through to the revival of outdoor swimming with special Guest, Simon Ingliss, author of Great Lengths: The Historic Indoor Swimming Pools of Britain. 

4. Welcome to Your City, Tribe, July 17
Second event of its kind that Tribe hosted for Refugee Week, which brings together a warming spirit to welcome refugees who have arrived to Carlisle with plenty of food, fun and games. Pop along and meet some friendly faces. 

5. Buzzcocks, The Brickyard, July 15
Ever fallen in love with... a band on stage, well perhaps Friday could be your night as the legendary English punk band grace the Carlisle stage. 

6. Fire up the BBQ 
Carlisle has a great offering when it comes to fresh produce for a BBQ, why don't you visit Bell's Fishmongers for some grade-A seafood or check out some of those delicious fine cuts of meat from Cranstons butchers on Fisher Street - perfectly complimented with a tipple. 

7. Time-Traveller History Tour of Carlisle, Tullie House, July 16
Come and join a free one-hour walking tour which takes you back in time around the city centre in Carlisle, introducing you to some of the people of days gone by who contributed to the building of the city we know today. 

8. Simon & Garfunkel Story, The Sands Centre, July 17 
Direct from a weeklong run in London’s West End comes a full cast of talented West End actor and musicians with the performance telling the story of both Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel from their humble beginnings as Rock n Roll duo 'Tom and Jerry' to their iconic status. 

9. The Vue Cinema
A plethora of big block-busters showing this weekend, fit the whole family with options to choose from such as Minions: The Rise of Gru; Thor; Elvis and Top Gun. 

10. Meditation, Botcherby Community Centre, July 15
The chance to unwind and explore spiritual, personal and energy development and connections, no need to prebook just bring a drink of water and a blanket if required.
