A student fainted on a bridleway while doing their Duke of Edinburgh expedition.
Mountain rescuers from Keswick were called out to save the student after fainting on the bridleway above Watendlath on July 7 at 4:28 pm.
The Duke of Edinburgh expedition leaders called for mountain rescue help and a team from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was quickly dispatched from Keswick, with a second truck on standby for a possible stretcher carry.
On arrival, the casualty was assessed and heat illness was ruled out.
The casualty was able to walk with assistance back to Watendlath and the waiting school minibus.
The mission required the efforts of 16 mountain rescue team members and took one hour and 27 minutes.
